Global Mission

Welcome to Evangelism & Missions(EM)

“For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved" (John 3:17, KJV).

We are all called to be witnesses, and God has given us an anointing and a calling to reach the lost. People are hungry to know God, and you have the answer (1 Pet. 3:15).

“Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature(Mark 16:15).

If someone asked you about Jesus, could you lead them to salvation in Christ Jesus? If you answered yes, then pray for wisdom in saying the right thing. If you said no, then go to a pastor, evangelist, teacher or another Christian brother or sister and learn how to share the gospel with the unsaved. Get equipped to take the Good News to everyone you know.

Evangelism is a dialogue, not a monologue. And the best way to engage a person in a conversation is to listen. In starting a conversation, the objective is to build a bridge. That is what we want to do.

Evangelism is speaking to anyone anywhere the gospel. You don't have to succeed at it. Evangelism is happening even if somebody is not getting saved. But you need to say it.

So saying the gospel to anyone is evangelism. It could your mother or your father. It could be a Christian, but usually we think of it as somebody who is not a Christian.

Missions is doing that by crossing a culture. It usually involves learning a language, learning new cultural things where there is no church in which people are doing evangelism of those in that culture. They don't have any access to the gospel.

Activities:-

The Evangelism Committee is responsible to the Church Council to organize and provide activities that witness to the impact of Christ in our lives. Our witnessing is done within the congregation to call our fellowship to a closer relationship with God and with those in our community who may not know God, but need to. The Committee meets at the call of the chairperson to develop goals, organize activities to achieve the goals, and to evaluate the progress of the evangelism efforts..

The Evangelism Committee has the lead in helping the congregation move to becoming a more inviting church while we maintain our welcoming spirit. They administer the publicity services of the congregation.

Evangelism is about witnessing to the power of God in our lives. The Evangelism Committee provides opportunities for people to give their testimony. One person’s faith story is a powerful tool that can touch others and perhaps bring them closer to Christ. If you want more information about our Evangelism programs, please contact one of the committee members.
